Olive pickers come to Mendoza from different parts of Argentina during the harvest season. Some work less sporadically in the fields and some only come and stay during the harvesting season and then return to their homes.

This small group of olive pickers cares for and harvests a relatively small field of olive trees that grows in the middle of a famous and traditional vineyard in Maipú. And before starting the day, before work hours begin, they sit in a circle and share by a fire, cigarettes, and sips of maté (mate tea) to ward off the cold and humidity of some days, but above all, because where a maté is shared, there is something else: a complicity, something that feels like a good friendship, so necessary to alleviate the harsh conditions in which these people work.
