About the book

Transitions are sometimes book-shaped. From an artist's book to a bookbinding process, to answer the question the photographer repeatedly asks herself: How many lives fit in a single life?

The transition between the past and the present in which we have learned to live with the uncertainty, with the lack of guarantees, living each day as a leap of faith.

The book as an impulse, as a sculpture and a narrative bridge; as a recount of persistent memories, bringing the past into this now that only time will tell if it will become the future.

Rip Current names love, the abyss and the wound, the scar and the return in three times. This first part, The Shore (Book 1 of 3), it's an approach to that ever-changing nature of being.

This Artist Book, inspired by Hedi Kyle design and Karen Hanmer's books, was exhibited on May 2nd, 2021,  at the “Only Time Will Tell” group show at Alserkal Avenue. Dubai, UAE, and acquired by an artist to index it in their private collection in Germany.
